Do you think that Arendt’s position regarding educating children is correct? Why is that?

In her article, “The Crisis in Education,” Hannah Arendt argues that crisis in education is prevalent in the United States and provides her perspective regarding such an issue and offers a solution to the existing problem.Arendt believes that children in our education system should not be left “to their own devices” and must be protected by the teacher’s authority. She argues that “under the pretext of respecting the child’s independence,” children are kept in their own worlds, away from the world of adulthood (1954, p. 136). Arendt strongly suggests that children should be protected and taken care of by adults and not be left alone to make sense of the world. Children should be educated, protected, and supervised by their parents. Adults must assume responsibility because failing to do so will engender anarchy and disorder (Arendt, 1985). Arendt has a conservative approach to education and believes that “education must be conservative.”Essay Topic: Do you think that Arendt’s position regarding educating children is correct? Why is that? You need to write a 1200 word essay arguing that Arendt’s perspective on education is reasonable. You may think differently. However, I want to see how you can present an argumentative thesis that supports Arendt’s overall hypothesis. How your thesis will become is up to you, but I am interested in seeing how Arendt’s position on education will be supported.
