Briefly describe a movie (or movie scene) or television show episode of your choice in the introduction to the paper that illustrates at least THREE concepts from Ch. 2 (Culture & Gender), e.g., “individualistic culture,” collectivistic culture,” “monochronic,” “polychronic,” “uncertainty avoidance,” “gender roles,” expressive talk,” “instrumental talk,” affectionate communication,” and so forth.

In the introduction to your paper, describe the movie (or movie scene) or television show episode of your choice and identify the three concepts from Ch. 2 you’ll use.
Then, for each of the three body paragraphs, define the concept you have selected in your own words (paraphrase – do NOT quote) but then also cite the book in-text like this (Floyd, 2021), elaborate on the content’s connection to the course concept(s) you selected, and discuss how the communicators could have improved their communication during the situation.
End with a conclusion that summarizes and wraps up the paper.

Assignments should be typed in Microsoft Word, 12 pt Times New Roman font, single-spaced, 1″ margins and at least 1 full page in length, use proper in-text citations and a reference page, and be edited for spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.

You are REQUIRED to use this template for help with formatting: Interpersonal Analysis Template.docx

In your paper, you MUST:

Identify each concept and define the concept in your own words (do not use direct quotes from the text). YOU MUST PROVIDE TEXTUAL CITATIONS FROM YOUR TEXTBOOK TO AVOID PLAGIARISM. Do so exactly like this: (Floyd, 2021). Then provide a Reference page at the end, exactly like this: Floyd, K. (2021). Interpersonal communication. (4th ed.). McGraw-Hill.
Thoroughly explain the connection between your example to each course concept/theory. Please bold/underline/highlight/CAPITALIZE or otherwise draw attention to the concepts from the text you are using in-text.
