basically compRE HOW they talked more about her life than other Jessie Owens movie “race”

If you remember the authors of last module’s reading (Pieper and Linden) argued that in only seeing a tiny fraction of Owens’ life the biopic Race was a “safe” film, as we weren’t forced to consider all of the ways that racism impacted Owens over the course of his entire life. I’d like for you to think about The Battle of the Sexes in a similar way. If you were a filmmaker what might you include (or leave out) of your film to help audiences more deeply understand the culture in which Billie Jean King played tennis in the 1960s and 1970s.
